138 girls transition from Safe Spaces into formal education

HALI supported 138 previously out-of-school girls to enrol in primary and secondary education across partner schools in Jere and Mafa.

Girls’ education · March 2025–February 2026

HALI supported 138 previously out-of-school girls to enter formal education through the Safe Spaces Learning Programme in Jere and Mafa LGAs.

Placements across primary and secondary school

Seventy-eight girls enrolled at primary level. Fifty-six entered junior secondary classes, while four progressed to Senior Secondary School 1. Placements were made across six partner primary and secondary schools in Old Maiduguri, Farya and Simari, helping girls attend schools close to their communities.

Practical support for sustained attendance

Each girl received essential school materials, including a schoolbag, uniform, sandals and learning supplies. The support reduced immediate financial barriers for caregivers and helped learners participate more consistently.

The 138 figure is a verified completed-programme result for the March 2025 to February 2026 reporting period.
